Gabs July is a hundred percent local registered company aimed at organising world-class horse racing meetings in Botswana. Gabs July will stage its debut race on the 30 July 2022 at Sebele Race Track in Gaborone and will run on an annual basis in the month of July. Gabs July is an iconic event that is envisaged to contribute to the growth of the horse racing sport in Botswana in terms of domestic tourism, sport entertainment and benefits to the horse owners and community
Gabs July Race is a carnival style event attracting more than 10 000 local and regional spectators
and showcasing the various disciplines of horsemanship such as thoroughbred race and show jumping. we are aiming to register more than 162 racing participants from the marginalised racing communities across Botswana including Kokotsha, Ghanzi, Charleshill, Motokwe and Maun
Over and above the horsemanship disciplines, true to its carnival style, Gabs July Race will treat attendants to music performances at intervals and a motor bike junior race category for the 85cc engine capacity. Even more exciting, Gabs July will feature a beauty queen cat-walk to demonstrate the race’s bias for fashion.
